  • Victoria is a tech ethicist, researcher, and writer.

    She researches and advises on areas including AI regulation; fairness, explainability and accountability in AI/ML applications; data privacy; and data governance.

    Currently, Victoria is working as an AI Policy Specialist at Sony AI in the flagship AI Ethics team.

    She is a Double First Class graduate of the University of Oxford with a master’s degree in Tech Ethics and Policy from Duke University.

    She has experience working in technology consulting, leading AI ethics advocacy and education projects, and collaborating with AI researchers and programmers across Northern America, Asia, and Europe.

 
 
  • Matt is a consultant, researcher and writer on technology ethics.

    He works as a senior technology strategy consultant for Deloitte Consulting LLP, helping a variety of clients implement emerging technologies. He has a master’s in Technology Ethics and Science Policy from Duke University, where he began his continuing research on methods and tools that translate ethical principles into practice for developers and technologists. He does work on fairness and explainability in AI/ML applications, surveillance and privacy, data ownership, and online platform accountability.

    He has consulted executives in a multitude of companies and government agencies, including national security organizations in the US intelligence community. He has managed the implementation of robotics and AI/ML solutions, as well as the development of enterprise software platforms.

    Previously, Matt was a research fellow at EqualAI, a DC-based nonprofit that works with companies, policy makers, and experts to reduce bias in AI.
